Eye and Brain Candy for the Compulsively Analytical
Stephanie Posavec’s exquisite data mapping of linguistic patterns within Keroac’s On the Map. This particular image is a visial analysis of rhythm textures of representative quotations within the novel. I’m just a layman as far as data mapping goes, but find a real kinship with this stuff. Her method of analysis and design both leave me a bit awestruck. Case in point: Posavec culled the colors for this project from 1940’s-era automotive paint swatches. Extra dreamy.
